How to make a bankroll last a whole season
Stake size shapes the outcome more than the accuracy of your picks. Two rules are what separate betting all season from betting for a week.
The fixed-fraction rule
Stake the same percentage of your current bankroll every time — 1 to 2%. On a bankroll of 20,000 that is 200 to 400 a bet. Ten losses in a row take out roughly 15% of it, not all of it.
